December 2020 Broadcast

COVID-19 vaccination distribution efforts are underway. According to the CDC and Florida Department of Health, initial vaccines are expected to be released to frontline healthcare workers and high-risk populations. While vaccine distribution is beginning nationwide, we are monitoring the situation and will update our patients on vaccine news through our Patient Advisory page.

Unfortunately, nationwide cases continue to reach record highs. Southwest Orlando Family Medicine advises patients to continue following COVID-19 safety guidelines, including wearing a mask, frequent hand washing, and social distancing. We continue to provide Molecular Testing for COVID-19, including Rapid Testing and Lab Testing. Not all testing options are equal – molecular is considered the most accurate in testing:

Central Florida is home to multiple clinical trials for the COVID-19 vaccine, giving those who volunteer the opportunity to be first in line for vaccines. If you are interested in enrolling, please check out our Patient Advisory for more information.

With the holidays upon us, we’ve reviewed the latest CDC holiday guidelines and provided key recommendations to help you and your loved ones celebrate safely. Read more on our COVID Holiday Safety blog.

Wishing you and your loved ones a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays from all of us at Southwest Orlando Family Medicine. Thank you for entrusting us with keeping you and your loved ones healthy and safe.
