August 2020 Broadcast

We’ve recently updated our Patient Advisory to include guidelines for Return to Work and information on Rapid Testing. We strongly encourage you to continue following COVID-19 safety guidelines, including wearing a mask and social distancing. We’ve also developed a comprehensive guide on masks that we recommend you review with your loved ones.

During the COVID-19 Pandemic, we have introduced and expanded our TeleHealth Appointments, which allow you to get the care you need from the comfort of your own home. You can easily schedule your TeleHealth virtual visit online or through the Healow App. TeleHealth Appointments can be made for a variety of healthcare concerns, including (but not limited to):

  • Sick Visits (Headaches, Migraines, Abdominal Pain, Urinary Tract Infections)
  • Asthma, Cough, Bronchitis, COPD, and Pneumonia Concerns
  • Annual Wellness Visits
  • Hospital Follow Up Visits
  • Chronic Conditions Follow Up

TeleHealth Appointments allow you to get the care you need from the comfort of your home.

Why Choose Southwest Orlando Family Medicine?

One of the most important elements to your care is your health history. With Saturday Office House, Same-Day Visits, TeleHealth Appointments, and our Call & Connect After Hours Hotline, you can connect with our Clinical Team when you need it most. Our Clinical Team is able to review your records and health history to provide contiguous (full picture) care. When you visit an Urgent Care or Emergency Care center, they may have a limited window to understand, diagnose, and treat your symptoms. This type of treatment, called episodic care, may not be appropriate for patients with chronic conditions or underlying medical or family medical history. Consider the image below:

The benefit of the Contiguous “full picture” approach is the comfort and confidence that the care you receive takes into account all of your health history, rather than one symptom or concern. Our goal is to help our patients live healthier lives, and we are proud to celebrate over 30 years of helping our community.
